Artist Transportation - Bumbershoot Festival Seattle

We got picked up at SEATAC airport in this van. As soon as we loaded our gear, part of the bumper fell off. That's niles, our production manager.

Dick and Jane's House

Okay, so I was wrong before, or Solo gave me wrong info. The artist who made the light reflector pieces at the baggage claim at SEATAC, passed away recently. His name was Dick Eliot, and he lived in a famous house near where solo grew up called "Dick and Jane's House".

Hello America

Solo says that the artist who made this reflector light art is from Ellensburg WA. His house is called the funny man house. Dropping knowl.

Last Show With OAR

Last night we played the last show of the OAR tour in Toronto. There were some really rude drunk OAR fans in the audience that booed us and were chanting "OAR". Outside after the concert some humongous drunken gorilla type fellow in a hat came up to me ad said "hey Harry Potter, lose the haircut". The rest of the tour was fun. That was the first show on the tour that we ran into any kind of rudeness from the audience.

Weed Money Man - music video by For The Establishment (FTE)

The one and only song by rock reggae hip hop sensation FTE (For The Establishment). FTE was founded in the summer of 2009 by members of Brett Dennen's band and crew while on the road in support of OAR (Of A Revolution). The song is a result of a songwriting competition between Dennen's gang and OAR. The competition was to see who could write a better song about weed and money. We won! Video directed by Chad Taylor.

Slightly Stoopid

Last night in St. Paul, Slightly Stoopid was on the bill with OAR and us.  I had heard their music before, but never really listened to it.  I had always assumed that since they are a surf punk reggae band and because of the style of their baggy clothes and straight billed ball caps, they must be hard core guys in real life, and they probably wouldn't like me.  I can be really ignorant sometimes, and last night I realized how stoopid I was, for making such poor judgement.  I don't think I have ever met a band who was as instantly kind and open as them.  Cautiously I went to their dressing room to introduce myself, and immediately they invited me in, gave me a drink, and treated me as if i grew up next door to them.  We hung out most of the night, and I must say, they might be the coolest band I've ever met.........next to Ozomatli....and Forro In The Dark.......and OAR.......and The Avett Brothers......and Guster......and Angus and Julia......okay, there are a lot of cool bands out there.

San Fran/ Outside Lands

Spent the weekend in The Bay Area!!  Last night i went to an incredible restaurant in Oakland called Adesso.  They make their own pate and charcuterie.  They also have incredible wines and cocktails.  I also went to Clif Bar to visit some of my old friends and climbed on their climbing wall.  We all rode bikes to the Tokyo Fish Market.  If you didn't go to Outside Lands you should next year!!
