Weed Money Man - music video by For The Establishment (FTE)

The one and only song by rock reggae hip hop sensation FTE (For The Establishment). FTE was founded in the summer of 2009 by members of Brett Dennen's band and crew while on the road in support of OAR (Of A Revolution). The song is a result of a songwriting competition between Dennen's gang and OAR. The competition was to see who could write a better song about weed and money. We won! Video directed by Chad Taylor.

I was totally bummed that Brett would not come off his tour bus not more than a minute after he stepped on to take a picture with me this evening in Detroit. I came to the concert just to see his band--not OAR. I am due with my daughter any minute, and I would have loved to have a picture for her baby book. His bassist said he was "just so busy..." Way to support your fans :(

sorry scot, I was on the phone with my mom and dad. i try to make myself available, sometimes the timing is wrong, and sometimes i need time to myself, and check in with my family. i'm sure as a parent to be, you can understand.

I was at the Madison concert and loved the premiere of Weed Money Man. When will it be available in mp3?

Seeing you cover "The Obvious Child" with O.A.R. was one of my favorite concert moments of all time! Any plans to release? I would love to be able to hear it again!
Thank you for your music!

I've been thinking about your response to my initial comment, and unfortunately, I must tell you, it was weak. I'm sure your family would have been thrilled that a woman who was with her husband, and was about to deliver any moment, wanted a picture with you for her baby's book--and gladly would have let you call them back.

I think you missed the boat on this one, and it sucks because I have always enjoyed your music, convincing my husband to pay double the price of the ticket the night of the OAR show, just so we could see your perform for 45 minutes.

(Just as an afterthought, I was seven months pregnant when I traveled to Rothbury just to see you as well. I guess I should have saved that $500 dollars too.)

And by the way, my daughter was born a few hours later, and she is doing great. For someone that apparently has some disgruntled audiences and reports on their obnoxious behaviors, it might behoove you in the future to embrace the ones that care.

Scot- i think you're beliefs are slightly skewed here. Perhaps, Brett should come and wait outside your work after a long day and ask you to take a photo and bother you. He apologized to you and gave you an explanation, and you say it's weak? It's "weak" of him to be a family man? He should have put your family before his, eh?

scot; obviously a bit hormonal? if you love Brett like you say you do, you would always forgive him :)
congrats on your baby girl. yeah!!

Wow. I can't even believe that scot person is serious. I think the apology and explanation was classy and more than enough. Anyways, this video and song are both tight. I'm a new fan and enjoy just about everything I've heard from Brett. I'm really diggin' the socially relevant lyrics of alot of the songs and the music is great. Big fan. Thanks.

Thank you for taking time to meet my friend and I before the Oakland NYE show, Brett. I can not begin to tell you how much of an inspiration you are to me. Your music is absolutely magnificent, and I mean that from the depth of my soul. I like the way you took time to tell us your favorite restaurants in town, and most of all, how you looked at us as human beings rather than "just some other fans." The way you use your music to influence the children of the mosaic project is wonderful, in fact, it has motivated me to start quilting for wraptheminlove.org. Just like you, I am contributing my talents and hobbies to the world. Can't wait to see you again!
